Lady Shi Grimshadow

Death Incarnate

Shi's womb was chaos, an ethereal void and eternal nothingness that produced creation. The matriarchal womb of life, her immaculate conception is of the deepest unknowns in existence. All beings that go bump in the night have her to thank for their lives, their spirits and their souls. Even the gods of the world and their subjects originated from her ethereal womb.

The Sacrifice

Immediately the seed of her creation was able to sustain itself, the Aether of her afterbirth creating deities which came into existence, easily maintaining the grand scheme of life. She would all but be forgotten as the mother of the universe, even as her projections of death walked the realms of existence. It was this complacency within her creation that lead her to leave the throne she held above creation. She sacrificed it to create Oblivion and it's sibling the Nether. Carefully she wove the Nether through the universe, spawning it within each realm of existence. There was nowhere she did not have a hand, eager to retrieve the energy spent on a creation that quickly grew out of control and displeased her.

Oblivion and Nether

However, as time went by and souls entered the Nether and traveled to oblivion, Shi began to find hope in the latent universe. Within it, spread out few and far between, were subjects of potential. Her children were growing, evolving and becoming worthy of her, even as the vast majority faltered. So she chose to rest within the empty darkness of oblivion's arms, waiting for a time to awaken and enter the world once it had matured.

A New Purpose

When Shi finally awoke she was not entirely displeased. The universe had expanded, it had grown from the small seed within her womb to a vast and grand plain of life. Many more had evolved and so she sought to test them, curious of the worlds worth. She wondered if it was ready for her yet. Creating a physical form from the namesless substance of converted energy within Oblivion, Shi took to the realm of mortal life as the newest projection of death. Disappointment ailed her often, many to ignorant to realize who had approached them. Ultimately she found what she was looking for, a population of life which had reached the level of perfection in their development that she found acceptable. One family in particular proved most worthy. They were strong, though small in numbers. All of the potential she sought could be found within them. With worthy subjects, she fell into their ranks without hesitation. Taking their name, Shi was ready to test the limits of reality with her new family.

They called themselves, Grimshadows.

Armor and Forms.

Her armor is Asmyre, a material created to withstand attacks from gods and dieties especially. Shi's armor draws it's regenitive powers from every spec of energy she can harness and maniplate. It takes time to heal deep gouges but the most important property about it, is the ability to withstan opposing spells and energy attacks. Thick plates of armor cover a humans most targeted parts such as the spine, neck, knees and arteries along the body, though this is unneccessary for Shi, as her risk of bleeding out is close to impossible.

However, beneath the armor and stretching over her like a body suit is the thin layer of asmyre armor. It is actually woven together and though it's not as strong as the thicker plates, it will suffice in protecting her from basic attacks, scratches and flesh wounds.

Her hands are covered by either a plate or armor or the rings which adorn her fingers from knucle to tip. Each of these bare a blade that arches from her knuckle and over 3/4 of her finger. These blades have no name but are "enchanted" the same way her other two swords are. They will cause necrosis over time. The deeper the wound the faster her necrosis reaches their soul.

Weapons and Power

Sugori

- Her base weapon. It is remains within her body or on her body at all times. It is a solid rod, only half a foot long and a few inches thick. From end to end it is covered in etched designs which work to give it grip but these symbols, these runes, grant great power. Unfortunately for those who wish to obtain this weapon, it is bound to her and will explode into dark tendrils of smoke that will seek Shi out at all costs. This weapon is of the shape shifting kind. Several forms govern this weapon including a boe, double bladded staff, or the iconic reapers scythe. The only addition to this is that either end of the scythe may bare a blade if she so chooses to command such a feat from her weapon. Sugori has the ability to not only attack the physical plain, but to wound the etheral plain as well. Not only is it made of the same material as her armor, it enchanted by the many energies within oblivion and the Nether, to increase the durablilty while it leaches life from her victims with each cut. Sugori remains enchantable, though all others usually wear off fairly quickly.

Khalimoro

- This is her sword. This too starts as a basic weapon. Riddled in runes, this beautiful weapon takes the shape of Shi's imagination. The blade itself is pitch black and as smooth as silk. It takes one of two forms more often than not. That of a long flat blade, or it will bare twin blades of ebony that potrude from one hilt. Khalimoro is also enchanted with Shi's Death Energy Bound to her being, Kahilimoro stays loyal to her alone just like Sugori.

Because these two are so maluable, Shi rarely needs to summon any other weapon from Oblivions depths but this too is possible with a little bit of time. It is a rare use, one often used for fooling around instead of actual combat.

Death is neither light nor dark. It resides on both sides of nature leaving nobody safe from it's touch. It consumes the energies of life much like the shades of black absorb the spectrums of light.
